Power of Attorney

When it comes to estate planning and asset protection, a Power of Attorney can be one of the most important things to have in place – even more than having a will.

When you appoint person to have Power of Attorney, you are giving them the right to act in your place for financial purposes in the even that you become incapacitated and can’t make these decisions or take action yourself.

Unlike wills (which deal with management property after death) and living wills and health care proxies (which deal with health care decisions to be made during life), the power of attorney handles how assets and property are taken care of during the life of the principal.

Depending upon your situation, there are different types of Power of Attorney and when you come to our offices, we will help you decide which one is best for you.
